I started with formal ballet training, moving on to the dance team. I married my high school sweetheart, and had two beautiful children. During this time I took a break, but missed expressing myself through movement. I enrolled in adult ballet classes for awhile. Working to regain some fitness, I enrolled in group fitness classes. I loved them, and taught them for the next 15 years. It was a great way to keep moving, express myself, and inspire others. Several years ago I found myself at a critical juncture. My physical and emotional health were in crisis. I faced a decision; I could either continue forward, or step back and re-evaluate.
I decided to step back. I put everything on hold and made myself the priority.
Out of it I learned more than the rest of my life put together. Out of it a beautiful, effortless and consistent meditation practice emerged. Out of it a new and unique way to move and breathe came forth.
Movement & Meditation was born out of a determined dedication to consistent self-care.
